2017 World Giving Index: Ukraine ranks 90th

Myanmar is ranked number one for the fourth consecutive year. According to the study, 91% of the country’s population is engaged in charity in one form or another. The report indicates that in Myanmar, money is mainly donated to the monks: they are given small amounts, but the population donates frequently.

Indonesia is second in the ranking, Kenya is third. The top ten also includes New Zealand, the USA, Australia, Canada, Ireland, the United Arab Emirates and the Netherlands.

Belarus took 117th place in the world charity ranking, Russia 124th place (20% of the population), Ukraine – 90th place (29% of the country’s population), Poland – 105th place (26% of the population), Lithuania – 137 th place (16%) and Latvia – 131st place (18% of the population).
